What we collect

Your email (for sign-in), the display name you choose, optional payment handles you add (Venmo, PayPal, UPI), and the expense data you and your groups enter — descriptions, amounts, splits, receipts you upload, and settlement records.

How we use it

Solely to run Splitmama: computing balances, syncing groups in real time, and powering optional AI features (natural-language entry and receipt scanning). Receipt images and text you submit to AI features are processed by our AI provider to produce the parsed result and are not used to train models. We never sell your data and we show no ads.

Payments

Splitmama never holds, moves, or processes money. Settle-up links open third-party apps (Venmo, PayPal, UPI apps) which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can export your expense data as CSV at any time, and you can delete your account — which removes your profile and personal data — by contacting support@splitmama.com. GDPR/CCPA requests are honored within 30 days.

Security

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security so only members of your groups can read your group data. Receipts live in a private storage bucket scoped to your group.
